This super easy Strawberry Oreo Milkshake is the perfect creamy sweet treat. Think cookies and cream, chocolate covered strawberry vibes. This combo is seriously so good. The base is strawberry ice cream, and it is loaded with oreos and fresh strawberries. Fresh whipped cream is optional, but really takes this shake to the next level.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberry ice cream
  • ¼-1/2 cup milk*
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 10 oreos plus more for garnish
  • 4 strawberries fresh or frozen, plus more for garnish

Optional

  • whipped cream for garnish*

Instructions

  • Review all recipe notes and instructions before beginning.
  • Add about a ¼ cup of milk and the pint of strawberry ice cream to the blender. Blend until smooth. Add more milk if needed.
  • Add the oreos and strawberries. Manually pulse a couple of times, until the cookies and strawberries are just incorporated.
  • Pour into a glass.
  • Garnish with whipped cream, crushed oreos, and sliced strawberries.

Notes

Milk: Use milk with the fat percentage that you like. Nonfat milk is thinner so it will not be as creamy. Whole milk, half and half, or cream will result in a thicker shake. I recommend starting with about a ¼ cup and adding more as needed.
Whipped Cream: Combine 1 cup heavy cream, 2 Tablespoons confectioners’ sugar or granulated sugar, and ½ teaspoon vanilla in a cold large mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Re-whip if the cream deflates.
Do not use too much milk. You can always add more milk if you need it. Start with less and add as you blend. No one likes a watery milkshake.
Do not over blend. If you want some texture in your milkshake, only pulse the strawberries and oreos a few times so they do not completely break apart.
Store leftovers in glasses or jars (individually portioned) covered in the freezer for up to 1 month. Remove from the freezer and thaw in the refrigerator for a few hours or on the counter for 30 minutes before serving. Do not refreeze thawed milkshakes.
