Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings

These Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings require absolutely no thawing or breading and come out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. These are perfect for the Super Bowl or any party as an appetizer. Great for when you forget to pull a protein out of the freezer ahead of time too!

  • 1.5 pounds frozen raw party chicken wings drums & flats
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • sauce of choice for serving*


  • Review all recipe notes and instructions before beginning.
  • (Note: If your wings are frozen together, air fry for 5-6 minutes first. Break them apart.) Place the wings skin side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not stack.
  • Sprinkle the wings with salt and pepper.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. If you notice water in the base of the air fryer, drain it.
  • Flip the wings and air fry for another 15-20 minutes or until the wings are golden brown.
  • Toss with your favorite wing sauce before serving.



Sauce: You can use whatever wing sauce you prefer. I like to toss mine with store-bought buffalo wing sauce, homemade garlic parmesan butter, or homemade teriyaki sauce.
Refrigerator: Store leftover chicken wings in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 360 degrees for 5-6 minutes or until heating through.
These wings are meant to be served with sauce. The salt and pepper seasoning is just a starting point. These wings are not very flavorful on their own. 
Adjust time as needed. Some wings are larger and might require more time. Be sure the internal temperature is 165 degrees before consuming.
