Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 8 ounces sliced baby bella mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Morton kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic

Instructions

  • Sauté the mushrooms: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and begin to brown.

  • Season the mushrooms: Add the Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, kosher salt, and granulated garlic. Stir well and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the mushrooms are glossy, tender, and coated in the sauce. Add 1-2 Tablespoons of water at the end and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Cook for 30-60 seconds, just until the mushrooms are saucy but not watery.

Notes

  • Baby Bella Mushrooms: White button mushrooms can be used, but baby bellas have a deeper, more savory flavor.
  • Add water at the end for saucier mushrooms: Start with 1 Tablespoon and add more only if needed.
