Ingredients

  • 16 ounces (4 links) sausage*
  • 2 8- count tubes crescent rolls
  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  • Cut each sausage in half lengthwise and crosswise creating 4 pieces per link (16 total).
    16 ounces (4 links) sausage*
  • Unroll all of the crescents. Place one of the crescent triangle on a plate or cutting board.
2 8- count tubes crescent rolls
  • Place the sausage on the widest side.
  • Roll the sausage towards the narrow end of the triangle. (See photos above.)
  • Tuck the ends of the crescent roll in. Repeat with the remaining sausages.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the butter, sugar, mustard, and everything bagel seasoning.
6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon dijon mustard, 1 Tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
  • Place a piece of parchment paper in your air fryer basket. Place about 6 or so rolls on the parchment paper so they are not touching. Brush generously with the glaze.
  • Air fry at 310 degrees for 10-12 minutes, checking them after about 8 minutes. Flip if the tops are getting too brown.

Notes

  • Sausage: I prefer to use a spicy smoked sausage, like jalapeño cheddar, for this recipe because it pairs well with the brown sugar to create a sweet and spicy sausage roll. However, you can use any kind of sausage you prefer for this air fryer pigs in a blanket recipe.
  • Every air fryer cooks differently, so be sure to check the pigs in a blanket. Like most air fryer recipes, the pigs in a blanket air fryer time will vary depending on your appliance. Check them around the six-minute mark and see if they need additional time. When ready, the crescent rolls should be golden brown and fully cooked (not doughy).
  • Use flavorful sausage. Since this air fryer pigs in a blanket recipe is so simple, it's important to use flavorful sausage to provide a bold taste. You can use any sausage flavor, from spicy to sweet, with this recipe.
  • Don’t skip the glaze. Besides the sausage, the glaze adds quite a bit of flavor to this dish. Skipping the glaze means you’ll be missing out on the spicy, sweet, buttery taste.
