Expert Tips
- Use a spray oil. Adding a spray oil to the air fryer frozen spring rolls helps create a crispier exterior. This step also lets you better control how much oil you use when you air-fry spring rolls.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. When learning how to cook spring rolls in air fryer, it’s essential to know they need space to crisp up. It may be tempting to toss them all into the basket at the same time, but this will create soggy spring rolls.
- Serve the rolls with your favorite dipping sauce, such as peanut soy or sweet chili sauce. Air fried spring rolls (and leftover spring rolls) on their own do not have a ton of flavor, so I recommend enjoying them with a dipping sauce like peanut soy, hoisin, fish, or sweet chili sauce.
Additions & Variations
- Egg rolls: Check out my Air Fryer Frozen Egg Roll recipe!
- Oven: Bake at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes. The air fryer frozen spring rolls are ready when they are lightly golden and crispy on the outside. Be sure to flip them halfway through.
- Stove: Pan-fry in oil over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. For this variation, you’ll need about four tablespoons of a high smoke point oil (like grapeseed oil) with a neutral flavor. Be sure to heat the pan to medium heat with the oil before adding the spring rolls. Flip halfway through so they are golden and crispy on all sides.

As far as spring rolls in air fryer temp and time, I recommend cooking them at 400F for about 10 minutes. The final cook time will depend on the size of the rolls, as some are larger/smaller than others.
It usually takes about 10 minutes, based on the spring rolls I buy from my local store. Different air fryers also cook food differently, so you may also need to adjust the time based on whether you have a smaller or larger air fryer. High-powered larger air fryers may cook spring rolls a few minutes faster than smaller air fryers.
I recommend air frying spring rolls from frozen, as they will still crisp up nicely in the air fryer or oven.
